I've been inspired recently by vintage things. Whether it's in my wardrobe or on my walls, I love things with character and a story to tell. My mom said that it's bad feng shui to bring items into your house with a history that's unknown to you, but I think that that's part of the fun! Right now, I would totally love to find a scrap yard or a salvage yard and see what fun, reusable things that I can find. I particularly like reclaimed wood, which is weathered wood that has seen its share of days. There's just something about distressed wood that appeals to me. It's very organic and has lots of character.
To Do List for my room:
- finish paint details
- resurface ceiling fan
- stain dresser
- buy hardware for doors and drawers
- mount wall photos and such

hello, new blog layout.
and I know what you mean about old things. makes you feel less alone, somehow; if that even makes sense.
random update, I'm super close to 50K for Sirens. When I'm done with it, will you read it? I would really appreciate your feedback from it. I have to tell you it's loads darker than anything I've ever written before, but that should be a fun change shouldn't it?
anyhow. congrats on making progress with your room.
Haha, right? I would totally love to read Sirens! I'm in need for a good book to read, and I can dig my teeth into a great novel. Just email me at wiol.pomnuria.ilian@gmail.com when you're ready with the finished product.
It won't be done for a while, I'm afraid. Perhaps another month? School will just be starting and we know how that goes :P I'll bookmark that address for now though, I'll just ship it off as a random have-a-book! present. haha!
